Wild Roses

I’ve always loved the simplicity of wild roses — five petals, soft pink fading to white at the edges. These were growing along a footpath near Avebury, tangled into the hedgerow with blackberries and hawthorn.

The challenge was capturing the translucency of the petals where the light passes through them.
